Funerals for Darlington woman and 9-year-old granddaughter to happen Sunday

HARTSVILLE, S.C. (WBTW)- Funeral services for a Darlington woman and her 9-year-old granddaughter killed in a double homicide will happen Sunday afternoon, according to the funeral home.

Darlington County deputies say Deziyah Davis, 9, and her grandmother Denise Couplin, 52 both from Darlington were found dead at a home off Highway 151 last Sunday morning.

This week, Cephas and Kathrine Cowick were arrested and charged with two counts of Murder, 3rd degree Arson, Criminal Conspiracy, Armed Robbery, 1st degree Burglary, Grand Larceny less than $10,000 and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime.

Both funerals will happen Sunday at 12:30pm at First Baptist Church in Hartsville. Burial will be in Darlington Memory Gardens.
