MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Myrtle Beach city officials say a portion of Robert Grissom Parkway will be repaved beginning August 17.
A Facebook post by the city confirms a contractor was hired to mill and resurface a section of Grissom Parkway, between Mr. Joe White Avenue and 21st Avenue North, beginning Wednesday, August 17. At least one lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction.
Work will occur during the daytime, although re-striping may run into the evening. Motorists should expect grooved pavement during the milling. Properties along this stretch are being notified about the work.
The project is expected to take about a week to complete. Questions? Contact Brian Stewart at 843-918-2008 for more information.
August 17 also marks the first day of school for Horry County students, so parents are advised to allow for possible delays if traveling that portion of Grissom Parkway.
