SC high school teacher arrested for sexual relationship with student

Donald Blair Sr.

GOOSE CREEK, S.C. – Detectives from the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with Ninth Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s Office arrested Donald Blair, Sr. for Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor 3rd degree and Sexual Battery of a Student 16 to 17 years old.

Detectives were investigating a complaint from a student in reference to a consensual sexual relationship between Blair and a female victim.

The investigation resulted in probable cause to believe that Blair engaged in a sexual relationship with the female student, then 15, in late 2014 and early 2015.

The relationship took place in the grounds of Goose Creek High School, where Blair is the Mechatronics teacher.

Blair was booked into the Hill Finklea Detention Center and was given a $20,000 surety bond.

He can have no contact with the victim, her family or minors which means he can not go back to the school.
