NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW)- According to the North Myrtle Beach Department of Public Safety, a crash has closed a portion of Highway 17 Southbound.
The Department of Public Safety sent out an alert encouraging drivers to avoid the areas of 46th and 48th Avenue South around 8:00 Sunday night.
North Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Mike Davis said 17 people were involved in the crash, and three of them had to be taken to the hospital.
At last check, Highway 17 Southbound has reopened two lanes of traffic.
