LYNCHBURG, Va. – Trevor Clifton scattered three hits over six shutout innings to lead the Myrtle Beach Pelicans to a 7-0 win over Lynchburg Tuesday in Game 3 of the Mills Cup Championship Series.

The Pelicans need one more win to clinch the series. It would make them the first franchise to earn back-to-back outright titles since Winston-Salem did it in 1985 and ’86.

Myrtle Beach plays at Lynchburg in Game 4 Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
