Marlboro County Deputies search for man who stole a car

MARLBORO COUNTY, S.C (WBTW)- The Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office, Florence County Sheriff’s Office and DNR searched for a man wanted for stealing a car.

Chief Deputy Charles Lemon says they are searching for 19-year-old Nickolas Carter who is wanted for Grand Larceny in Florence County and other warrants.

Lemon says Carter was spotted Saturday in the Pee Dee Road Area of Marlboro County and law enforcement has searched for him since with bloodhounds and a helicopter. Deputies believe he got a ride out of the area but they were able to locate the stolen vehicle he was in.

The Florence County Sheriff’s Office and Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the search efforts.

Deputies say Carter is still on the run and describe him as a white male who stands 5’3″ and weighs 125 pounds, has blond hair and blue eyes and wearing jeans and a black shirt.
