CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – Officials say Robert Lloyd James is the man responsible for threats made to a Conway Walmart Tuesday.

James was arrested by Conway police and later charged with making a bomb threat or conveying false information about a bomb threat. Booking information from J Reuben Long Detention center says James is 78 years old and lives in Conway.

Tuesday afternoon, the Walmart on Church Street was evacuated after a verbal comment was made regarding a bomb threat at the store.

Lt. Selena Small with Conway police says Walmart management made the call to evacuate the store and officers took one person into custody. Officials say no one was hurt in the incident.

James was released Wednesday on a $10,000 bond.
