Man shot during Horry County burglary, armed robbery dies at hospital

CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – Horry County Police detectives were called to a reported shooting early Tuesday morning.

According to Sgt. Heather Adkins, one person was found shot around 4:30 a.m. at a home on Kimberly Drive, just off SC 544.

The person was taken to a local hospital for treatment, Adkins said.

Horry County Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard said 22-year-old Laquan Johnson from Loris died at a local hospital around 3 p.m. Tuesday.

This incident also involved a burglary and armed robbery, police said.
