Get an inside look at the new Hard Rock Cafe opening in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – After more than 20 years entertaining guests, the pyramid that housed the Hard Rock Café in Myrtle Beach will hold its last act this weekend and a new Hard Rock will be opening soon at Broadway at the Beach.

Renovations are nearly complete at the new location which was the former site of Broadway Louies centrally located in the Celebrity Square area.

The new location will offer a state-of-the-art facility showcasing Hard Rock’s updated look and some new technology.hard-rock00000000

The new Hard Rock Cafe will seat more than 500 guests and features multiple event spaces, patio seating and a live music stage for performances.

It will open to the public next Friday, but before that happens workers remain busy getting things in order for the grand opening.

“It’s going to be clean, organize, clean, organize, set up, get everything ready, try to get everything perfect; so when we open the doors, boom we’re ready to go,” said General Manager, Keith Stamp.

The new Hard Rock Café will have an almost entirely new collection of memorabilia, only two pieces from the former site will be included at the new site.

Hard Rock’s music and memorabilia historian, Jeff Nolan gave News13 a tour of the iconic pieces chosen to grace the walls of the new building.

Above the bar is a sculpture piece that combines a church organ with the look of motorcycle exhaust pipes, Nolan said the collection is meant to be a reflection of Myrtle Beach.

“Thinking in terms of motorcycle culture, gospel music and… the uniqueness of southern culture. That sort of toughness and smartness that comes with southern culture,” said Nolan.

There will be a guitar smash ceremony to open the new location at 4:00 pm on Friday October 7th and doors open to the public at 5:00 pm.
