Myrtle Beach man charged with 2 counts of attempted murder for apartment shooting

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Myrtle Beach police took one man into custody Wednesday and charged him in connection to a shooting that happened at a Myrtle Beach apartment complex Tuesday

Incident reports say Dominique Antonio Smith, 25, is accused of shooting a person and firing a gun into a home.

Officers were called to the Carolina Breeze Apartments on Cedar Street Tuesday in reference to a shooting, reports say. On arrival, police found one victim on the ground with a gunshot wound to the stomach.

The incident report says police spoke with another victim who claims she was in her home when a round came though her front window.

Reports say the suspect left the scene in a Dodge Charger but Myrtle Beach police were able to stop the car and identify the suspect.

Smith was arrested around 2 p.m. and later charged with two counts of attempted murder, possession of drugs, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, discharging firearms into a dwelling and unlawful carrying of a pistol.
