Latta man named Clemson’s Hero of the Game

LATTA – Carroll Allen, Sr. served 34 years in the National Guard including service in Korea. By the time the Latta native retired in 1984, he was a Brigadier General and led a group of 3,800 guardsmen. During Clemson’s football game against Louisville Oct. 1, the school honored Allen as it’s Hero of the Game in recognition of his military service.
