Barc Parc South temporarily closed due to storm damage

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Cleanup crews say Barc Parc South needs more work after Hurricane Matthew.

Barc Parc South, located at 676 Mallard Lake Drive, has more than 30 trees down or damaged. In addition, nearly 300 feet of the park’s fence were knocked down by the falling trees.

Leaders say the park is not safe until the damage is repaired. The city is working to restore the area while eliminating safety issues, and the park will not be ready to reopen this week.

Barc Parc North, located at 5000 Claire Chapin Epps Drive, is open.
