HCSO warns drivers of possible dirt barricades as DOT inspects roads, bridges after storm

The Horry County Sheriff’s Office says drivers could see dirt barricades on roads around the county as crews begin inspecting bridges after Hurricane Matthew.

According to the sheriff’s office Facebook page, workers with the SC DOT are able to inspect road hazards and bridges now that the water has started to recede.

South Carolina DOT could be placing dirt barricades, pictured above, to keep drivers from passing over unsafe roads or bridges.

Officials ask that people do not attempt to drive through them.
