NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – City officials say they have received reports of illegal dumping of debris in North Myrtle Beach.

City spokesperson Pat Dowling says some private tree removal and yard maintenance contractors have been entering the area at night and illegally unloading debris along city roads.

Last night, four major loads were dumped on Marion Circle off 46th Avenue South. Other locations around the city have also been hit officials say.

Dowling says private contractors are not allowed to unload tree and yard debris at the curb, but are required to take the waste to the landfill themselves.
