Myrtle Beach Police host “Cops N Bobbers” event to interact with kids

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW)- The K9 Unit of the Myrtle Beach Police Department hosted Cops N Bobbers with local students Friday morning.

The event allowed students from Myrtle Beach Intermediate School an opportunity to partner with officers and staff to get to know them in a fun environment.

“It’s pretty good to me because they have a job to do but they took time out of their day to come spend time with us,” Fifth grader Jordan Gantt said.

Students received a fishing lesson in addition to fishing poles, tackle boxes and other fishing equipment. Students were served lunch before heading back to school.
