Woman dead, man injured in Florence County crash involving motorcycle

FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash in Florence County.

According the SCHP, the crash happened around 8 p.m. Sunday on Alligator Road when the driver of a 2008 Nissan Altima tried to turn onto Darden Drive and collided with a 2010 Harley-Davidson.

Florence County Coroner Keith Von Lutcken identified the woman as Heather Michelle Locklair, 26, of Florence.  Von Lutcken said Locklair died at the hospital. She was a passenger on the motorcycle.

The male driver of the motorcycle was injured in the crash and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
