Coastal men’s basketball drops home opener to College of Charleston

CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) – The Coastal Carolina men’s basketball team lost to the College of Charleston 71-64 on Monday night at the HTC Center.

Elijah Wilson scored a game-high 16 points and Jaylen Shaw added 11.

CCU shot 44.4 percent from the field and Charleston shot 43, but it was at the free throw line where the game hinged.  Charleston shot 23 free throws and hit 21 while CCU only hit eight of their 14 attempts.

CCU hosts Coppin State Wednesday Nov. 16 at 7 p.m.
