Florence teen dies after getting out of moving vehicle, coroner says

FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – The Florence County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of a teenage male who died Wednesday night.

According to Chief Deputy Glenn Kirby, the incident happened on Stratton Drive off US 76 in Florence County around 4:20 p.m.

Florence County Coroner Keith Von Lutcken identified the victim as Bradley Ryan Clark, 18, of Florence.

The driver was not hurt in the incident.

Clark died a short time later at a local hospital as a result of injuries received from the incident, Von Lutcken said.

Kirby said the sheriff’s office is assisting the Florence County Coroner’s Office with the case.

According to the funeral home’s website, Clark was a senior at West Florence High School.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, the website says.
