Myrtle Beach police arrest 2 in Budget Inn armed robbery

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Online records from the Myrtle Beach Police website say officers arrested two people from Myrtle Beach for armed robbery Thursday.

Booking information from Myrtle Beach police says Koseem Mazeek Johnson,22,  and Asia Alexis Lewis, 20,  have been charged with armed robbery. Johnson was also charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

The incident report says officers were called to the Budget Inn at 501 North Ocean Boulevard Tuesday.

On arrival, officers spoke with the front desk worker who said the offenders asked how much a room at the Inn costs before they pulled out a handgun and opened the cash drawer. The suspects took $380 from the drawer, the report says.

Lewis and Johnson are currently being held at the J Reuben Long Detention Center.
