CHARLESTON, S.C. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Homeland Security seized a large shipment of cocaine upon its arrival in Charleston, according to a news release.
Officials say the shipment of cocaine originated from Cartegena, Colombia, and was destined for South Carolina.
The cocaine was discovered as part of Homeland Security and U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s regular duties in investigating people and goods entering the United States.
Authorities are working to learn the source of the drugs and their intended recipient.
