GEORGETOWN, SC (WBTW) – EnviroSep, an engineering and manufacturing firm in Georgetown, announced this week it would be expanding. The expansion includes a $5.2 million dollar investment in the community and 100 jobs over the next five years.

“The expansion is focused on our customers,” said President and CEO of EnviroSep, Tim Tilley. “We have heard from our customers that for us to be most successful in the industry, we need to decrease our lead time. It’s about speed to market. The faster we can get our products to market the better it is for our customers and more growth for us.”

A big focus with the expansion will be on sales positions.

“We’re enhancing our sales team to create greater coverage for us and our company, said Tilley. “We will be particularly working on the southeast United States region and the Midwest region of the country.”

Tilley said the jobs could bring in workers from all over the country, but said there are plenty of skilled workers in the Georgetown area.

“When it comes to the skilled trades employee, those folks we already have are the best talent here.” Tilley also said he can rely on local colleges to help train workers.

“We know we can depend on institutions like Horry Georgetown Technical College which will play a very significant part in our growth strategy,” he added.

President and CEO of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, Beth Stedman, said the expansion will help the local economy.

“Georgetown County, and Georgetown in particular, has a strong tradition of manufacturing so we are just excited about EnviroSep’s expansion,” said Stedman, who also feels students in the area benefit.

“It’s a great opportunity for our students,” she said. “We hope that we can keep people here in Georgetown County and also attract people who are interested in great manufacturing jobs to consider Georgetown county as a place to live.”
