Gulf Coast Braces for Tropical Storm Cindy

Wednesday, June 21, 2017 Tropical Update: Tropical Storm Cindy continues to pump heavy rain into the Gulf Coast as it slowly moves closer to landfall.    TS Cindy’s winds intensified overnight to 60 mph but regular water vapor imagery and experimental low-level water vapor imagery from GOES-16 show that a significant amount of dry air is present just east of the center.
